Telenor gets ISO certification
ISLAMABAD (March 09, 2010): Telenor Pakistan has become the first Telecom Operator in Pakistan to receive the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification for Information Security Management System (ISMS) for mobile banking services.



Mobilink recognised for Marketing Excellence
KARACHI (March 05, 2010): Mobilink, Pakistan's market leader in cellular services and subsidiary of Orascom Telecom Holding, has been recognised for Marketing Excellence by the Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP). Landline customers get new PTCL tariff offer
ISLAMABAD (March 04, 2010): Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has introduced an amazing tariff for its wireline subscribers which would enable the subscribers to call anywhere in Pakistan at Rs 1 per minute to any PTCL landline and Vfone. Not only this, customers are also offered the service of conference call free of cost valid up to December 31,2010 starting from March 1st, 2010.



Skype, Nokia jointly announce Skype release for Symbian
KARACHI (March 04, 2010): Skype and Nokia on Wednesday jointly announced the release of Skype for Symbian, a Skype client for Nokia smartphones based on the Symbian platform, the world's most popular smartphone platform. Skype for Symbian will allow Nokia smartphone users world-wide to use Skype on the move, over either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, and 3G).



Mobilink Jazz SMS Plus Offer launched

TMB, Telenor offer 'Mobile Account' service
ISLAMABAD (February 27, 2010): Tameer Microfinance Bank (TMB) and Telenor Pakistan announced a first of its kind product in Pakistan, offering transactions through the customer's own mobile phone. 'Mobile Account' is the third in the suite of services being offered under the banner of easypaisa.



LG announces new GT350
KARACHI (February 26, 2010): LG Electronics (LG) has announced the launch of the LG GT350, a new QWERTY messaging phone with built-in applications for major social networks, all optimised for its 3-inch full touch screen. The LG GT350 improves upon the earlier LG KS360, a messaging phone that has sold over five million units world-wide since its launch in August 2008.



PTCL launches Tele Presence technology

Latif Khosa visits NTC
LAHORE (February 21, 2010): Sardar Latif Khosa, advisor to Prime Minister on Information Technology visited the Central Region Head Office of National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) here on Saturday.
